About Seabrook Island Club for Weddings
Seabrook Island Club is an oceanfront club on Seabrook Island, a private island just outside historic Charleston, South Carolina. It hosts weddings for both members and non-members, across a collection of indoor and outdoor spaces, from oceanfront ceremonies to clubhouse receptions.
The Island House, the heart of the club, sits just steps from the water's edge and two championship golf courses and its verandas double as event spaces.
Karolina and Connor got married at Seabrook Island Club in September 2026, and you'll see their day further down this page.

Best Photo Spots at Seabrook Island Club
From the seawall to the verandas, these are the spots we'd plan your photos around.

The Ocean Terrace
With panoramic views of the Atlantic, the terrace puts the ocean behind your vows and your portraits, and it's an easy walk to cocktail hour.
The palms and the seawall
Tall palms and a rocky seawall line the water's edge, a classic coastal frame for portraits of the two of you.
The club verandas
The Island House's verandas are event spaces in their own right, and lovely for cocktail-hour candids and a quiet moment together.
Inside the clubhouse
Draped ceilings, chandeliers and French doors give the reception spaces a light, elegant look for your details, your toasts and your first dance.
Sunset over the water
The Deveaux Room has a wraparound balcony with sunset views of the ocean, and golden hour on the coast makes for warm, glowing photos and film.
Timing and light
Coastal light is bright and open. Plan on 20 to 30 minutes of portraits with us in the hour before sunset, when the light turns soft and golden.
Sea breezes are part of the charm. Plan your veil, your hair and your florals for a little wind, and they'll look beautiful in motion.
Lowcountry summers are hot and humid, and storms can roll in fast. Ask the club about its backup indoor ceremony space when you book.
A Real Seabrook Island Club Wedding: Karolina & Connor
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Karolina and Connor got married at Seabrook Island Club, surrounded by the people they love most. We photographed and filmed their day, with Serg leading photography, Taylor as second photographer and Justin on video.

Their ceremony was set on a brick terrace lined with tall palms, with rows of white chairs for their guests and the clubhouse and a white pergola behind them.
Karolina carried a bright bouquet of pink, orange and yellow blooms, a bold pop of color against Connor's green plaid suit and the blue of the Atlantic. Even their invitation was personal: a newspaper called The Seabrook Island News, announcing that they were getting married.

A ceremony by the ocean is the dream for a lot of couples, and at Seabrook Island Club a little planning makes it easy.
The club plans for the weather with you. Ocean Terrace ceremonies include a backup indoor ceremony space and an adjoining private indoor space, and the terrace has nearby indoor options, so moving from your vows to cocktail hour to dinner is simple, rain or shine.

The Atlantic Ballroom
The club's most expansive reception space, with clean lines and neutral tones and room for a larger guest count.
The Carolina Room
An intimate room next to the ballroom, filled with natural light, for cocktail hour, a smaller reception, a rehearsal or a bridal luncheon.
The Deveaux Room
A room with a wraparound balcony and sunset views over the ocean.

How we plan for the weather
Ask the club about its backup indoor ceremony space when you book, and tell us both plans early. We build your timeline and shot list for each, so a change on the day feels easy.
If the rain clears, we can step back out to the seawall for a few quick portraits.
Plan for a breeze, too. Secure your veil and boutonnieres, and a little wind will look beautiful in your photos and film.
Pack a clear umbrella or two. They make sweet, playful portraits if you'd like to brave a few raindrops together.

Consider a first look
Whether it's with your partner or a parent, a first look takes pressure off your timeline and gives you a private moment before things get busy.
