Old Medical College Wedding Videographer in Augusta, Georgia
No disrespect to all of the other outstanding wedding venues we’ve provided photography and videography at over the years, but the Old Medical College in Augusta, Georgia might be my favorite.
As you can see in the wedding video we produced there, it is an amazing location with character that most places simply don’t possess. How one wedding and event venue can have so many different go-to spots on the same grounds is beyond me. We take advantage of them all when we have the pleasure of providing photography or videography at this historic site in downtown Augusta, GA. From the grand steps of the entrance, to the incredible main hall of the interior, it’s hard to choose when you’re holding a camera.
Located at 598 Telfair St in Augusta, GA 30901, the Old Medical College is an iconic location for a wedding. If you’re looking for a venue that has plenty of space, old world character, and a regal feel, this is the place for you. When you first walk through the large doors and pass through the foyer, you are greeted by a stories-high ceiling with an open circle where on-lookers from above can peer down into the ground floor. Talk about making a statement with your wedding venue. We’ve often seen wedding parties decorate this area with hanging vines and flowers to further emphasize the beauty and grandeur of the high, open ceiling.

This wedding video went to the next level at the reception. The wedding party decorated the rear room with hanging string lights that draped overhead, while friends and family danced the night away. This part of the Old Medical College of Georgia was neat, as it allowed guests to have their own space away from the rest of the crowd, while still feeling like a part of the main event. It also doubled as a rowdy party spot for those who really wanted to let loose. One great moment took place when a train rolled right past the building. We even grabbed a shot of it with our video cameras. What a great moment to showcase the uniqueness of a downtown Augusta wedding.
